Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What are the lead times for all VisionArt product lines?
Answer: Premiere Gallerie 8 weeks, Décor Gallerie 6 weeks and Frame
Gallerie 4 weeks. Additional lead time will apply on any unit that has to have the artwork reformatted due to speakers or if using an LCD monitor.
Question: Do I have to purchase a metal back box for my customer's custom recessed application?
Answer: No. The custom recessed metal back box for the in-wall application is available as a service to the dealer. Remember that each box is custom-made and the lead time is 3 weeks.
Question: What happens if I do not have time to order a custom recessed back box?
Answer: If you cannot wait the normal lead time, then the formula will depend on which Gallerie the customer is ordering. In Premiere Gallerie, add 7" to the height and width to the outside dimensions of the plasma. In the Décor Gallerie, add 6" to the height and width to the outside dimensions of the plasma.
Question: Can I use my originial artwork on a VisionArt system? Décor Gallerie
Answer: An original if large enough can be used to make a Giclee (reproduction) that can be used in manufacturing a Premiere Gallerie VisionArt unit. The original piece of canvas cannot be used due to the nature of the medium used on the original artwork, this medium will not sustain the rolling up and rolling down of the canvas, hence a Giclee must be made. Example: If the artist used pastels, oils, or watercolors the actual paint will come off when the artwork is rolled up and down.
Question: What is a Giclee?
Answer: A Giclee is an exact reproduction of the original artwork printed on canvas.
Question: Can I use a photograph that I have taken for my selection of artwork?
Answer: VisionArt will gladly accept personal artwork and photographic images for "custom order" Premiere Gallerie units only. An Additional charge of $900 will be added to the VisionArt unit at the time of ordering to cover all costs related to custom order production, excluding freight.
Photographic images can be delivered as a black and white or color print on paper. Prints must be at least 24” wide and cropped to fit the shape and proportion of the customer's flat panel display. The print must be sharp, crisp and clean. Color and contrast must be just what the customer expects to see in the VisionArt print. Photographic prints on paper will be returned to the customer along with a color proof on canvas for approval.
